Welcome to the website of the International Practical shooting competitions “CLASSIFIER INTERNATIONAL MARATHON”
We are pleased to announce that marathon shooting movement is
constantly growing, covering new areas and attracting more and more participant.
Classifier
International Marathon - it's a synchronous (considering difference in time in
different time zones), correspondence International competition in practical
shooting with a handgun, rifle and shotgun, during which the participants
around the world perform the same exercises. The results of all the shooters
are combined in a general score sheet to determine the winners. The marathon
consists of independent stages for each weapon (handgun, rifle, shotgun), and
3-Gun competition (shooting with a handgun, rifle and shotgun during one
stage). Competitions of the Marathon are conducted under the rules of the
International Practical Shooting Confederation. Participation in the Marathon
is open to shooters of all regions of the IPSC.
The
first Classifier International Marathon on handgun practical shooting was
attended by 169 shooters from Ukraine, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic and Moldova
in 2010.
In 2011 the handgun part of the Marathon was joined by Russia, Canada,
Israel, Slovakia, Estonia and Belarus, covering most of the northern hemisphere
of the planet, and the number of participants was increased to 441 shooters.
139 shooters from 5 countries (Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Moldova and Canada)
competed in a debut Marathon competition in shotgun practical shooting in 2011.
This year's handgun match participated 666 shooters from 12 countries - Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, Russia, Estonia, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Canada, Australia, Finland, Latvia and the UK. Shooters were competing in thirty-one club at nine regions. The most active region was Russia - 193 participants. This year, Australia has joined the Marathon.
This year shotgun match participated 206 shooters from 8 regions - Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, Russia, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Canada and Australia. Shooters were competing in fifteen clubs. The most active region was Russia - 56 participants.
Rifle
and 3-Gun competitions will be added to handgun and shotgun parts of the
Marathon in 2012.
Thus,
the Marathon-2012 will consist of four parts:
- handgun, date: 25-26.02.2012,
- shotgun, date: 21-22.04.2012,
- rifle, date: 24-25.11.2012,
- 3-Gun, date: 15-16.12.2012.
Due to the increased number of participants in the Marathon-2012, we will use the online registration system "MakeReady" to speed up counting of final results. This system will allow
local match directors to register shooters, upload results in a system for
analytics and combine the results of local competitions into overall result.

is free for Marathon participants.
NB! After handgun part of Marathon-2012 we changed the rules - deadline for control materials (photo and video) increased to 48 hours.
There
is no registration fee for participation in the Marathon. It is enough to
organize match in your club using the Marathon Rules, provide results and, of
course, enjoy shooting.
Participation
in the Marathon - is a unique opportunity to take part in International
competitions and to compare your shooting skills with level of colleagues from
other regions without going abroad.
